  4. Oh yes, I learned that it's best to make two stacks of pairs, one with 4 pairs and one with 6. That way you can cut the diagonal both directions. You can see the original on the MO website. There's a small photo in their header.

    Your work was my inspiration for using the stack and cut method!

  5. Oops, my first instruction didn't post. Here they are again. Cut block 5.5 by 5 inches. Make 10 pairs. Each large block takes 9, so you'll have one extra. Stack and cut the diagonal along the longer side of the block, so when it's sewn, you'll have 5" squares. Lay out according to the photo. As you can see, the center row has some solid block. Very fun to make. I loved choosing the pairs of fabrics!

  8. Correction! Cut 5 pairs of fabrics for each large block, not 10. So you cut 5 blocks of each fabric--one light and one dark.

    It'll be fun to see your versions of the quilt!
