Interesting quilt, when I first looked at it I though of the Christian Crusaders taking back the Holyland. The red cross blocks remind me of the outfits. I read the side piece and it is sort of the same the west in Iraq and the Red Cross. And life goes on.
This quilt expresses her anger at the war, and the fact that the majority of civilians killed in Iraq are women and children.
