Buffy at Gwen Marston Retreat!!
Buffy arrived at the Gwen Marston retreat in Sisters with a piece of applique she was just finishing up (motif from a Dover book on Indian and Chinese design). She jumped right in with Gwen's liberated triangles and began building. We had the fun of watching the piece grow over the two day workshop and are hoping for a picture on REBELS when she's finished up!

To explain the picture above where someone is holding a pale pink cloth next to the quiltlet. Bonnie is an artist, and she shared the tip that adding pink to a problem work will often bring it to life. Didn't work here, but an interested rule for me, as I rarely use pink.

Did you all have an idea of what you were going to do in the class before hand? You all did different quilts so I am assuming it was based on the book overall and not on a particular quilt.
