November 11, 2011 is National Corduroy Day. Deb Rowden issued a challenge to make a corduroy quilt to celebrate. Nifty found this "ugliest fabric ever" furnishing fabric corduroy and shared pieces of it with Rebels for our own Corduroy Challenge. Good luck Rebels!
ya'all will definitely need the good luck cuz that is one uuuugly fabric!
ReplyDeleteHey now, I thought it was pretty cool. I think I had some slacks made that same fabric in 1962. (kidding) It's gonna be a great challenge to use
ReplyDeleteyou will do something STUPENDOUS with that, I have no doubt! what a find!
ReplyDeleteWhat a CHALLENGE!! The fabric is so ugly. I considered a dog bed, but not sure the vintage fabric up to heavy use and washing. Then I considered coasters. Use it on the back. But who wants that UGLY around forever? Nifty told me she has a small amount of purple in hers. Well that was the key, and now I'm off and running. Is anyone considering a Lone Star? That would be a sight. It reminds me of an African-American quilt, I saw long ago in Kansas City. It was Colonial Lady done all in poly double knit. There were also a couple of Lone Stars done all in poly double knit. Those KC quilters are fearless, and very creative.
