I see how you would change your mind. Since it is an applique, you want to show it with calmer setting and draw the attention inwards. I liked the scrappy edge on the border in the previous version too. I guess, I liked them both!
good for you taking it apart and remaking it till you were happy with it. I love it. I agree it was way too busy for my liking now the applique is really the focus and yet still very interesting with the pieced sashing...great job thanks for sharing. kathie
They were both lovely but I like this new one better, the flowers stand out much more. It looks great.

ReplyDeletewhat a great exercise. Inertia would have taken over for me and I wouldn't have changed it but I agree, it's stronger! way to go!
