self portrait revisited

This is a quilt I finished recently...
incorporating a self portrait drawing I did 15 years ago...
It's based on feelings and emotions from an intense & difficult time...
how we deal with what life hands us...and that,
Sometimes you just want to be wrapped up in a quilt until you recover....
(heavy i know)

  2. Yes. Quilting serves a purpose. The making and the wrapping up in one!! They both are great healers.

  4. Wow! This is stunning. Processing emotions through art and fabric. Very powerful.

  5. I feel a very quiet beauty in this quilt. I have a quilt that is in an unfinished state that is also a very emotional quilt. I can't quite seem to get it done or move forward with it...maybe a metaphor?

  6. What more can be said. One of the most emotional quilts that I have ever seen.
