Stack...and comments...

I learned on the help line that one reason I can't post comments on this blog is that I'm using a mac. That's as far as I got. Love the intensity of Nifty's red quilt and am so delighted to see Sujata's family examples, though that reverse applique is way too much...yikes.

Last week my show of paintings and work on paper opened at the Bush Barn Art Center where I've been artist in residence since February.

The gallery curator wanted 3D work, but I don't do that so I brought in a stack of quilts. It turns out they are way too tempting...everyone wants to untie the bundle and buy the quilts. In October Kay and I are going to have a small show of quilts...a "quilted Conversation" as it were.

  1. I was fortunate to see Bonnie's show this weekend. It really is inspired and beautiful! Good for Bonnie and Kay, bringing more quilts into the art world.

Hey, Sally and I are both on Macs. Have you signed up for a Google account?

  2. The STACK: What a creative idea!!! and a neat way to inspire sales and interest. Cooling my heels, and the rest of me too, pet-sitting in Salt Lake City. Went to local guild last noc. When I heard the laughter, I knew I was going in the right direction.
Working on the impossible hand applique--a reproduction of the Florence Peto Quilt, which is in the Shelburn Museum, in Vermont. WHAT WAS I THINKING OF??? 39 3" applique blocks!! I finished the 9 patches 6-7 years ago. Using library computer--a new experience.
    Good luck with show Bonnie!

  4. Bonnie, I use a mac to but don't have problems with commenting ... I generally use my google profile to comment but have had success with others too ... what kind of error message do you get? One thought is that it might have to do with which browser you use ... AND I LOVE your stack of quilts ... that IS ART!
